Environmental Impact Analysis Process. Final Environmental Impact Statement. Air Force, Space Division Housing Project, San Pedro, California

Abstract

The U.S. Air Force, Space Division (SD), headquartered at Los Angeles Air Force station (LAAFS), is promising to construct 170 housing units primarily for field grade and senior officers (major through colonel) assigned to SD at LAAFS. The site for the Proposed Action consists of 40 acres of land located on the southeastern portion of the area known as White Point (WP) in the community of San Pedro, in the City of Los Angeles, California. WP is located approximately 20 highway miles (within 1 hour commuting time) southeast of LAAFS.
