Anatomy of the Integrated Services Digital Network's D-Channel Access Procedure

Abstract

The ISDN D-Channel Access Procedure relies heavily on the Interframe Time Fill transmission, priority mechanism, and the D-Channel multi-point contention resolution scheme. This report presents an overview of the above issues and also illustrates certain pitfalls of this methodology.
