DoD Automated Information System Life-Cycle Management Manual

Abstract

This Manual implements uniform procedures for the conduct of Automated Information System Life-Cycle Management (LCM) activities and provides guidelines for the preparation and submission of documentation for LCM reviews. AISs that are integral to or embedded in a weapon system, or that are used exclusively for cryptologic activities, are exempted from the provisions of this Manual. This Manual is mandatory for use by all DoD Components, and is designed for direct use at operating levels without supplementary instructions.
