Senior Executive Service Probationary Period, Chapter 8
Abstract
The purpose of this handbook is to provide information to SES members and to their supervisors on the SES probationary period. The 1-year probationary period, required under P.L. 95-454 (reference (a)), is the final step in the SES selection process. During this time, the appointee's job performance and conduct are evaluated. A copy of a document showing satisfactory completion of the period is kept in the employee's Official Personnel File
