Abstract

In compliance with these regulations, the Air Force released the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Proposed Closure of Los Angeles AFB, California and Relocation of Space Systems Division for a 45-day public review and comment period on August 10, 1990. Copies of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) were sent to agencies, organizations, and individuals as required, and were made available to the public upon request. A listing of recipients is provided in Appendix C. Copies of the DEIS were also sent to public and university libraries near each of the bases considered in the document. This appendix provides a summary of the public comment and review period and contains an overview of the public comment management process, a listing of all respondents, copies of the public hearing transcripts and all written comment documents received, and a listing of all issues identified in the documents and the responses to the issues.
