Summary Report of USAREUR Soldiers' Survey Responses Following Deployment to Operation Desert Storm/Shield. Walter Reed Post-Combat Stress Survey

Abstract

The frequency data for USAREUR soldiers who participated in a survey conducted by the Walter Reed Institute of Research (WPAIR) are summarized. These data are part of an on-going, Army-wide study of psychological issues associated with Operation Desert Storm/Shield (ODS/S). All respondents, 3720 soldiers and 544 leaders, had been deployed to Southwest Asia during ODS/S. This survey was conducted nine months after ODS/S. The frequency data on individual survey items are presented for both soldiers and leaders. Summaries are also provided for each section of the survey....
