Abstract

Advanced information technologies permit the gathering and coordination of procurement information through electronic data bases, networks, and workstations. However, before these technologies can be applied, procurement processes should be redesigned to eliminate paperbased work elements and procedures and to eliminate any non-value-added tasks.
