Abstract

The Cheyenne-Laramie County Corporation for Economic Development is an outgrowth of the deliberations, studies, wide-ranging in-depth interviews and public workshop conducted by an Economic Development Task force established in late 1985 to formulate an economic development strategy for Cheyenne and Laramie County, Wyoming. Leads objectives are: (1) To attract new business and employers; (2) To provide for the retention and expansion of existing businesses and employers; (3) To make resources available for the formation of new businesses and employers; (4) To facilitate coordination and communication among economic development organization; (5) To build community support for economic development, and to encourage an awareness of the interrelationship between economic growth and the quality of life; and (6) To sustain its efforts through funding which is both substantial and predictable
