Cheyenne Community Needs Assessment for the City of Cheyenne, Laramie County and United Way of Laramie County.

Abstract

The Cheyenne Community Needs Assessment is a survey scientifically designed to measure local residents' needs for community and human services. Local officials cooperated to obtain matching funds from a federal community assistance grant through the Department of Defense; Cheyenne qualified for this grant due to the scheduled deployment of the MX at Warren Air Force Base. The primary purpose of this research was to identify human service issues as experienced and perceived by local residents. A secondary purpose was to examine several community service and community development concerns. Since the present report is designed to focus on the human service issues, the community services and community development findings are listed and discussed
