The PCB Transformer System as a Decision Analysis Tool.

Abstract

Regulations promulgated under the Toxic Substances Control Act of 1976 control the use of electrical transformers containing polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). An interactive computer program was developed to provide guidance on regulations and options for use or replacement of transformers containing 50 parts per million or more of PCBs in the insulating fluid. The system is described, and its use in helping make decisions about the disposition of transformers is discussed. Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBS), PCB Transformer system.
