Evaluation of a Liquid Crystal Spatial Light Modulator Capable of Amplitude- and Phase-Modulating Modes.

Abstract

An optically-addressed nematic liquid crystal spatial light modulator marketed by Micro-Optics Technologies has been evaluated as an amplitude- and phase-modulating device for optical pattern recognition applications. Experimental results of the device's performance are presented in this report.
