Identification (ID) Cards for Members of the Uniformed Services, Their Dependents, and Other Eligible Individuals

Abstract

This Instruction reissues reference (a) DoD Instruction, to update DoD policy, responsibilities, and procedures for the issuance of ID cards to members of the Uniformed Services of the United States prescribes ID and privilege cards for issuance to their dependents and other eligible individuals and incorporates recent changes on Guard and Reserve personnel and their dependents, and new policies regarding individuals involuntarily and voluntarily separated from active duty. Technical specifications and issuing procedures for ID cards are outlined.
