Desertion and Unauthorized Absence

Abstract

This Directive reissues reference (a) DoD Directive 1325.2, 'Desertion and Unauthorized Absenteeism' to provide uniform policies and procedures designed to minimize the occurrence of desertion and unauthorized absence of military personnel, foster the development of effective deterrent programs, enhance apprehension efforts, and provide accurate and timely reporting of cases of desertion and unauthorized absence.
