In-Service Motivational Workshop: Draft Instructor: Guide

Abstract

The objective of this effort was to design and develop a guide for directors of instruction and training officials to use in conducting in-service motivational workshops. First, a motivational model consisting of five components-attention, relevance, in control, setting goals, and efforts rewarded-was developed. Next, for each of the five components, a list of classroom strategies was developed. Finally, based on the motivational model and list of strategies, a draft guide was designed to guide the workshop leader systematically through the varied tasks needed to prepare for and deliver in effective work-shop. This report includes the draft instructor workshop guide. Training, Motivation, Student motivation, Workshop, In-service training
