Visible Light Emitting Materials and Injection Devices

Abstract

This is a progress report summarizing activities in our URI entitled 'Blue Light Emitting Materials and Injection Devices'. Partial contents include: (1) Molecular epitaxial growth; (2) MOCVD growth of II-IV materials; (3) Ohmic contact formation; (4) Characterization of column III nitrides; (5) Optical studies; (6) Transport studies in n-type zinc selenide (ZnSe); (7) Development of blue diode lasers; (8) Theoretical calculations for dopants in ZnSe; (9) Gain modelling in II-VI strained layer; and (10) MOCVD growth of column III Nitrides.
