Abstract

This document discusses the status of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) negotiations with respect to agriculture. The disagreement between the United States and the European Community, the need for an extension of fast-track authority, and the importance of the backing of U.S. agricultural groups is presented.
