Laboratory Test and Evaluation Report of the Essex Model 60C-0037-2 Molecular Sieve Oxygen Generating System

Abstract

The Essex Model 6OC-0037-2 Molecular Sieve oxygen Generating System was tested for environmental and electromagnetic interference/compatibility under the U.S. Army Program for Testing and Evaluation of Equipment for Aeromedical operations. The tests were conducted using current military and industrial standards and procedures for environmental tests and electromagnetic interference/compatibility and human factors. The Essex Model 6OC-0037-2 performed properly in the test environments. The oxygen concentration produced by the unit depends on the compressed air pressure, oxygen flow, and vent pressure. A separate oxygen concentration analyzer would be required to determine the oxygen concentration for patient use. The unit produces a significant amount of noise while operating. Electromagnetic compatibility, Test and evaluation, Aeromedical equipment.
