Inter-Departmental Civilian Personnel Administration Support

Abstract

This Directive reissues reference (b) DoD Directive 1400.16, to clarify the servicing activities responsibilities (VI) concerning vacancies in the serviced agency, it prescribe the general conditions under which inter-departmental civilian personnel administration services will be provided within the Department of Defense, and provides authority for one department or agency of the DoD to designate officials of another department or agency to execute administrative and legal processes of civilian personnel administration.
