Air Launched Missile Systems, AFSC 466X0. Occupational Survey Report

Abstract

This is a report of an occupational survey of the Air Launched Missile Systems career ladder conducted by the Occupational Analysis Flight, USAF Occupational Measurement Squadron. The Technical Training Operations Directorate of Headquarters, Air Education Training Command, Randolph AFB TX, requested this survey to review the classification, training, and personnel utilization of the career ladder subsequent to its creation under Rivet Work- force. The AFSC 466X0 career ladder structure identified in this report is similar to that found in the previous 1988 (AFSC 411XOB/C) OSR. The AFR 39-1 job descriptions accurately describe the jobs and tasks performed by personnel at all skill levels, and overall satisfaction was positive for the jobs identified. Analysis of the training documents indicates that both the STS and POI contain a number of unsupported areas which should be reviewed to determine if inclusion in future revisions of these documents is warranted
