Award of Trophies and Similar Devices in Recognition of Accomplishments

Abstract

This Directive reissues reference (a) DoD Directive 1348.19, and implements reference (b) Public Law 89-529, 'To amend title 10, United States Code, to Authorize the Award of Trophies for the Recognition of Special Accomplishments Related to the Armed Forces and for Other Purposes,' by delegating authority and establishing policies for awarding trophies and similar devices to military members and units of the Department of Defense for excellence in accomplishments or competitions related to the Armed Forces.
