Abstract

This Instruction reissues reference (a) DoD Instruction 4500.50, 'Overseas Areas Exempt from Prohibition on Shipment at Government Expense of Foreign-Made Privately-Owned Vehicles', prescribes uniform criteria, responsibility, and guidance for determining which overseas locations may be exempt from the prohibition on shipment of foreign-made privately-owned vehicles (FPOVs), and provides procedures for reporting such locations.
