Longitudinal Research on Officer Careers: Volume 4. Codebook for the 1990 Survey

Abstract

The technical manual (Volume 1) and the codebooks published as Volumes 2 to 5 provide information on the Longitudinal Research on Officer Careers (LROC) Survey conducted annually from 1988 through 1992. Approximately 5,000 company-grade officers commissioned from 1980 through 1990 responded to each survey; a total of 928 officers responded to all four surveys. The technical manual provides the sampling plan and tables on the population, sample, respondents, and response rates, as well as a description of the survey and databases. The codebooks provide descriptive statistics for each question in the survey, the survey booklet, and a cross-reference of questions across the 4 years. The technical manual is Research Product 93-10, Longitudinal Research on Officer Careers: Volume 1. Technical Manual for 1988-1992 Surveys. In addition to this volume, codebooks are as follows: Research Note 93-21A, Longitudinal Research on Officer Careers: Volume 2. Codebook for the 1988 Survey; Research Note 93-21B, Longitudinal Research on Officer Careers: Volume 3.
