The Communications Security Material System

Abstract

During Desert Shield and Desert Storm, the differences in policies, procedures, and attitudes concerning the Communications Security Material System (CMS) caused many problems for the Marine Corps and fewer for the Army. The Navy and Marine Corps CMS program must be changed to provide a more usable, flexible, and effective system. This paper provides an overview of CMS programs within the Army and Marine Corps.
