Defense Mapping Agency (DMA) Mapping, Charting, and Geodesy (MC&G) Data: Public Availability and Exceptions

Abstract

This Instruction establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures, in accordance with Section 2796 of reference (a) Sections 2794 and 2796 of title 10, United States Code, and reference (b) DoD Directives 5105.40, Defense Mapping Agency, for the sale and withholding of otherwise unclassified DMA MC&G data in the possession of, or under the control of, the Department of Defense. It Authorizes the publication of DoD 5030.59-M, "Use and Release of Defense Mapping Agency (DMA) Mapping, Charting, and Geodesy (MC&G) data," consistent with reference (c).
