Results of the Verification Monitoring Program, South Tank Farm Plume, RMA

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to present the results of the verification monitoring program which was conducted during late October and early November, 1990, to evaluate contaminant distribution in the South Tank Farm Plume (STFP). The objectives of the program are to: 1. Determine the present position of the leading edge of the plume; 2. Determine the concentration and distribution of the target analytes; 3. Monitor changes in the water table which may affect plume migration; 4. Monitor the concentration of dissolved oxygen; 5. Verify the spring 1990 ground water quality data, the basis for the selection of the STFP IRA. The report is divided into the following sections: 1. Ground water sampling and analysis-procedures and parameter 2. Results and interpretation-Hydrology, ground water quality, distribution of STFP compounds.
