Thin Film Phosphor Development

Abstract

Thin poly-crystalline phosphor films are capable of high brightness and resolution in severe application conditions. The program described here concentrated on sputter-deposition of Tb3+: Y3Al3Ga2Ol2 phosphor. The problem of optical contact of the film with the substrate was addressed in optical isolation schemes.
