Producing Desired Color Stimuli with Trichromators: A Tutorial on Technique

Abstract

A summary of the theory of color mixing when using a trichromator system is presented. The derivation of needed formulae to compute any desired chromaticity coordinates and corresponding luminance requirements is given. A numerical example is provided which demonstrates the application of the formulae.
