Abstract

The question of how government employees received their news took on an increased importance with the downsizing of the military force and the subsequent reduction in budget. The disintegration of the former Soviet Union and allied Soviet Bloc countries, and the shifts to low-intensity conflict and peacekeeping missions are among the topics that have taken on increased importance to those associated with the military.
