Proceedings of U. S. Workshop on the Physics and Chemistry of Mercury Cadmium Telluride and Other IR Materials, Held in Danvers, Massachusetts on October 13 - 15, 1992

Abstract

The 1992 U.S. Workshop on the Physics and Chemistry of Mercury Cadmium Telluride and Other IR Materials was held in Danvers, Massachusetts, on October 13-15, 1992. This workshop was the eleventh in a series which began in October 1981. Over that time, it has become the preeminent forum for open interdisciplinary discussion of scientific and technological issues concerning HgCdTe. Its scope includes the discussion of other materials which are important to the development of technology based on HgCdTe, e.g., CdZnTe substrates for epitaxial growth and other materials addressing applications for which HgCdTe is the leading contender, e.g., III-V strained-layer superlattices and quantum wells for infrared detectors. Subject areas discussed at the 1992 workshop include material growth processes, electronic and physical characterization, surfaces and interfaces, defects, devices, and superlattices.
