Three-Dimensional, Inelastic Response of Single-Edge Notch Bend Specimens Subjected to Impact Loading

Abstract

Three-dimensional dynamic analyses are performed for three different specimen configurations (a/W equivalent 0.5, 0.15, 0.0725) of single edge bend, SE(B), fracture specimens subjected to impact loading. Finite-element analysis, Three dimensional models, Impact testing, strain rate effects, Inertia, Fracture toughness.
