Developing an Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan: A Guide for Army Installations

Abstract

This technical guide was developed to reflect U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements for state solid waste management plans, with the presumption that Army facilities will face similar requirements. It is also a response to a need to introduce integrated solid waste management to the Army community. The guide reflects a compilation of various states' requirements concerning the contents of solid waste management plans. Although specific state requirements may vary, this guide covers the relevant issues pertaining to solid waste management. It has the flexibility to be tailored to specific installation needs.
