Shipboard Implementation and Concept of Operations for Automatic Link Establishment

Abstract

The scope of the task reported here was to develop implementation techniques and concepts of operation for using HF ALE techniques, as presented in MIL-STD-188-141A, with shipboard systems designed to quickly establish good, reliable ship/beach and ship/ship communications (links and networks) for effective use by any control method/system.
