This document provides an overview of the Coast Guard's Aids to Navigation (ATON) mission. Specific components of the mission described within include: the history of the mission; the supporting Coast Guard organizational structure; the resources employed in servicing ATON; the types of ATON is use by the Coast Guard; and the Coast Guard's preparations for the 21st Century.
