Sampling Wastes Handling, Task 32

Abstract

This draft final technical plan for task 32 describes the work associated with all field activities to handle any liquid or solid waste generated as part of any remedial investigation/feasibility study efforts at RMA. The major objective of task 32 is to provide support to other RI/FS tasks for the collection, identification, storage, and possible disposal of all potentially contaminated wastes generated during field activities. Drummed solid wastes are stored in BLD732B. Purge water is disposed of into one of the boundary systems or the south plants liquid waste treatment facility. Soil cores will be stored in BLD728. All tasks which generate large quantities of wastes will include the transportation and storage of these wastes. Task 32 will be responsible for setting the guidelines and procedures for handling the waste.
