Manufacturing Optimization (MO) System

Abstract

This is the final report for the Manufacturing Optimization (MO) system. The purpose of the MO system is to enable all manufacturing specialists to participate in the product/process development activity concurrently. The system consists of a set of tools to model the manufacturing processes and centralize the various process tradeoffs. Recommendations can be compared and negotiated among the individual manufacturing participants. After the manufacturing team has reached a consolidated position, the results are passed back to the cross functional (top level) team for their negotiation.
