Control and Stabilization of Distributed Parameter Systems; Theoretical and Computational Aspects

Abstract

In this research, the issue of uniform stabilization has been investigated for large classes of conservative systems arising in elasticity. In the case of linear problems, two types of feedback have been considered: (1) dissipative feedback operators acting only on the 'velocity' (2) generally non- dissipative feedback based on Riccati operators and acting on the full pair of position and velocity. In non linear problems, feedback of type (1) have been studied. Numerical implementation for both types of feedbacks have received special attention.
