Transport and Diffusion in Turbulent Fields Modeling and Measurements Techniques, (35th) Oholo Conference held in Eilat, Israel on October 28 - November 1, 1991.

Abstract

This volume contains the invited and contributed lectures that were presented at the 35th Oholo Conference, held in Eilat, Israel, during October 28-November 1, 1991. This meeting, in common with the 28th Oholo Conference (1984) in Zichron Yaakov, was organized by the Environmental Sciences Division of the Israel Institute for Biological Research. The present conference dealt with theoretical, experimental, and practical aspects of 'Transport and Diffusion in Turbulent Fields'. The scientists attending the meeting came from over a dozen different countries, and met to exchange ideas and share results of research in the following broad range of topics: (1) Basic studies and novel methods in modeling atmospheric - theory and experiments involving eddy flow; turbulent mixing, transport and diffusion in various media, ranging from microscale to macroscale. (2) Analysis of concentration fluctuations - theoretical developments; observations in different atmospheric conditions. (3) Experimental techniques and methods of data acquisition - use of various sensors; laboratory experiments and observations in the atmosphere and in the ocean; and (4) Interactions and feedback between theoretical models and experimental results.
