Abstract

The physical constants and basic equations defining the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standard Atmosphere are presented together with tables and diagrams of the properties of the ICAO Standard Atmosphere computed by the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics in both metric and English units for altitudes from -5,000 meters to 20,000 meters and from -16,500 feet to 65,800 feet.
