User's Manual for the NODDS/WOSM Interface

Abstract

This report describes elements of a graphical user interface system developed between the World Oil Spill Model (WOSM) and the U.S. Navy's Oceanographic Data Distribution System (NODDS) database. Although both the NODDS and WOSM systems are briefly described, the emphasis of this report is on the coupling of these two stand-alone systems. Versatility of the interface is illustrated with three worldwide oil spill scenarios.
