A Contemporary Analysis of the Revolt of the Admirals

Abstract

A comparison of inter-service rivalry caused by disagreements over roles and missions of the armed service branches. The elements which caused the conflicts over roles and missions during the immediate post-World War II period are discussed and compared with similar elements which existed after the end of the Cold War.
