Best Technical Approach Analysis (BTA) for Mobility and Bridging Support for the Armored Gun System (AGS).

Abstract

The Belvoir RDE Center (BRDEC) in conjunction with the US Army Engineer School (USAES) and the US Army Armor Center and School (USAARMCS) have a requirement for a Best Technical Approach (BTA) analysis to determine the most effective alternative to meet the stated requirement for an Armored Gun System-Assault Bridge (AGS-AB). Data and results from this BTA are intended to support requirements definition and the defense acquisition decision process. This BTA analysis is intended to clarify the mission need and to determine the most effective alternative to meet the mobility and bridging support requirements for the Armored Gun System (AGS). This BTA analysis will support the overall program effort and will address each of several specified alternative technologies having potential to meet the bridging requirements of the AGS.
