Insulin-Like Growth Factor II as a Prognostic Indicator in Breast Cancer.

Abstract

Our previous laboratory work has suggested that Insulin-like growth factor II (IGF-II) may be an important growth promoter in breast cancer. In this study, we analyze expression of IGF-II in clinical biopsy specimens using the techniques of immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization. We are currently performing the laboratory analysis of the clinical specimens, and representative data from our studies to date are presented.
