The Air National Guard, Culture and Quality

Abstract

The Air National Guard is implementing Quality Guard by adopting the principles of Total Quality Management. The purpose of this paper is to explore the significance of organizational culture to the implementation of Quality Guard. The study traces the development of the Total Quality movement, explores various aspects of the concept of organizational culture and the impediments to introducing change to the unique organization that is the Air National Guard. Secondly, the paper sketches the history and culture of the Air National Guard and discusses their implications for the implementation of Quality Guard.
