Development of a Medium Energy Modulated Electron Gun for Orbital Experiments

Abstract

Rome Laboratory has provided funding support for the development of a medium powered modulated electron gun to be flight tested on a NASA sounding rocket designated CHARGE-2B. The objective of the flight test was to study both the generation and the propagation of VLF electromagnetic waves in the near and far fields of the waves. Electron guns, VLF modulation, Ionospheric sounding rocket.
