Real-Time Simulation of Large-Scale Multibody Systems Using Automated Equation Decoupling Techniques

Abstract

A method for formulating highly optimized vehicle models using symbolic analysis has been developed. The vehicle model makes extensive use of computations which can be precomputed in advance of the real-time simulation. The new approach has been used at TARDEC for the efficient simulation of several military vehicles.
