Critical Experiments of HARDMAN III Utility for Use by Air Force Analysts

Abstract

This paper documents a software modification and validation effort targeted at providing a manpower requirements analyses tool for the Air Force's Integrated Manpower, Personnel, and Comprehensive Training and Safety (IMPACTS) program. Described are development and testing of the Air Force-MANpower CAPability model (AF-MANCAP) which was derived from the Army's HARDware vs. MANpower (HARD MAN III) suite of manpower, personnel, and training analysis tools. The paper also provides results of field product reviews and a convergent validation test using the Logistics Composite Model (LCOM).
