Abstract

The purpose of this report is to make available the technical papers presented at the Sixteenth Conference on Aerospace Transparent Materials and Enclosures. Sixty-seven technical papers are presented in nine sessions that address transparent material for enclosures, coatings for transparencies, transparency design; bird impact resistance; human factors and optics; operational problems; design criteria on transparent plastics, glasses and elastomers; aircraft-structural integration of windshields and canopies; computed design; testing techniques; and cost of ownership reduction.
