High Performance Hardware and Software for Pattern Recognition and Image Processing.
Abstract
Effort on the Phase 1 tasks was completed during this reporting period. The hardware design of the CNAPS/PC board was completed and five (5) prototype boards were fabricated. Debug of the boards was completed and several of the CNAPS/PC boards have been sent to various customer's sites for Beta Testing. The Beta Testing of the CNAPS/PC has been progressing well. The port of the CNAPS Control software for execution of CNAPS code on the CNAPS/PC hardware has been completed. This software has been sent with the CNAPS/PC hardware to various customer's sites for Beta Testing. The port of the CNAPS-C compiler, its preprocessor, and the CPL assembler to Windows/NT has been completed. This software is ready for Beta Testing. The Phase I deliveries were shipped on August 31, 1994 to the destination specified in the contract. At the time of this report, the project has expenditures and commitments totaling 100% of the funds allocated for Phase 1 of the contract authorization of additional funding to the amount of $292,215.00 for the Phase 2 tasks has been received. The contract stipulates $492,893.00 for the completion of the Phase 2 tasks, therefore, an additional $200,678.00 of funding must be authorized to complete the Phase 2 tasks.
