Thickness and Packing Fraction of Ammonia Used in SLAC E143 Experiment

Abstract

The ammonia target thickness used in the E143 'Nuclear Spin Structure' experiment has been determined by the attenuation of 60 KEV x-rays from 24/AM. The ammonia thickness and packing fraction of each targets has been measured to an accuracy of the order of 0.5%. SLAC, Ammonia, X-Ray attenuation packing factor, E143 experiment, Nucleon spin
