Software Technology for Adaptable, Reliable Systems (STARS). Software Architecture Seminar Report: Central Archive for Reusable Defense Software (CARDS)

Abstract

In order to increase awareness, explore current research into software architectures as a means of implementing software reuse, and examine current practices and issues involving architectures, the Central Archive for Reusable Defense Software (CARDS) Program sponsored a Software Architecture Seminar and Workshop at West Virginia University's Concurrent Engineering Research Center (CERC) facility in Morgantown, West Virginia on November 16 and 17, 1993. The goals of the Seminar and Workshop were to understand the various meanings of software architecture, current research in the field of architecture, and current efforts applying software architecture. This document provides highlights of the Seminar and Workshop.) document contains an overview of the proceedings of the Architecture Seminar on Tuesday, November 16 and the Architecture Workshop on Wednesday, November 17. This includes issues discussed, questions and answers, working group discussions, and references. This document also contains presentation slides from the Seminar, the Seminar panel discussion, and the Workshop.
